1. Mukesh Ambani

Mukesh Ambani, born on April 19, 1957, is the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). He is the eldest son of Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance Industries, and Kokilaben Ambani. Mukesh Ambani holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and an MBA from Stanford University.


After completing his studies, Mukesh Ambani joined Reliance Industries in 1981 and started working alongside his father. He was instrumental in expanding the company's petrochemicals business and making it one of the largest in the world. In 2002, after the death of his father, Mukesh Ambani took over as the Chairman and Managing Director of RIL.


Under his leadership, Reliance Industries has diversified into various businesses such as telecommunications, retail, and media. Reliance Jio, the telecom arm of RIL, has disrupted the Indian telecom industry by providing high-speed internet services at affordable prices. The company's retail arm, Reliance Retail, is the largest retailer in India and has a presence in over 7,000 towns and cities.


Apart from his business acumen, Mukesh Ambani is also known for his philanthropy. He has contributed significantly to various social causes, including education, healthcare, and disaster relief. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mukesh Ambani led RIL's efforts to provide relief to affected communities by setting up hospitals, distributing meals, and providing financial aid.



2. Gautam Adani

Gautam Adani, born on June 24, 1962, is the Chairman of the Adani Group. He hails from a small town in Gujarat and started his career as a diamond sorter in Mumbai. He later moved to Ahmedabad and started his own diamond brokerage firm. In 1988, he ventured into the business of commodities trading and founded the Adani Group.


Under Gautam Adani's leadership, the Adani Group has diversified into various businesses, including ports, logistics, power generation, and renewable energy. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), the company's flagship business, is the largest private port operator in India and has a presence in six countries.


Adani Green Energy, the renewable energy arm of the Adani Group, is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world. The company has set a target of achieving 25 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2025 and has made significant progress towards achieving this goal.


Apart from his business interests, Gautam Adani is also known for his philanthropic activities. The Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of the Adani Group, focuses on education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, and rural infrastructure development. The foundation has set up hospitals, schools, and vocational training centers across the country.
